Creating a “breathing” restaurant,
where all our guests can enjoy dreamlike comfort,
by using “white” to completely eliminate the dark, dim image of a hideaway
Instead of giving the impression of darkness with the word “hideaway,”
we’d like to give our guests a sense of serenity and cleanliness upon stepping inside the restaurant.
That’s why the restaurant interior is intentionally unified with white.
We hope that our guests can enjoy exquisite BBQ dishes,
while feeling a special sense of being in a fanciful place.
Our “breathing” restaurant is a comfortable “living” place. Its “magic” is hidden in the all-white interior.
Using the ordinary white color alone may enhance coolness.
Hoping to breathe life into the restaurant itself,
Matsugo, based on its service-oriented philosophy, places importance on the feeling of natural material by using letters written in Indian ink and decoration with green bamboo, both typically used in Japanese culture.
This works to eliminate any inorganic feeling. Also, an active, playful sense is produced by indirect lighting.
Exceptionally comfortable seats, allowing guests to experience relaxation first hand.
The “seat” is an interior space that our guests physically experience, and thus we consider it something special.
However fashionable, it means nothing if dressing-up is not advantageous to the restaurant image.
The bench seat is designed in an ordinary sofa size, while the floor cushion is made of material used for bench seating.
Please personally experience the warmth of the seat which cannot be felt just by looking at it.
